In tonight’s NCIS Hawaii episode, someone was watching a couple at dinner. The couple went out for dinner at a nice restaurant. They were celebrating going into business together and that’s when Jack Spence noticed they were being watched. He warned his fiancée.

They took off together. Jack said they had to split up. He told his fiancée to rush home and pack a go bag, but he said he’d call for further directions. He never called. Jack seemingly disappeared that night and his fiancé has no idea why or if something happened. And so she went to NCIS because her fiancé was Naval Commander Jack Spence.

Jack told Talia that he was in Naval Intelligence. She thought something must have happened to him to stop him from calling when it was safe. He never discussed work with her or any of his missions. She only knew his involvement with Operation Red Rabbitt because she overhead him on the phone.

It happened once. She never mentioned it to him because she didn’t want him to become secretive. Or more secretive in his case. His fiancé went to NCIS when she didn’t hear back from him and she told them about Operation Red Rabbitt.

Neither Tennant nor anyone in NCIS had been read in on Operation Red Rabbitt. They had no clue if it existed. Ernie had to contact his old friends at ONI and he learned that it was real. The mission was real. Jack Spence was also real. He couldn’t get any more information after that because it was all with super top secret clearance.

The file was redacted for Ernie’s friends and so only someone high up in Naval Intelligence could explain who was following Jack on the night he disappeared. Something odd that the guys noticed was that Jack didn’t have any photos of himself at the home he shared with Talia.

Jack did have a special room. Talia couldn’t enter that room. There was a lock on it. Jesse was able to pick the lock easily and there were lasers inside that didn’t connect to anything. NCIS found fake passports in Jack’s secret room. They also found a logo for Sunstreak Café in the room.

They went to the café. They ran into Jill who ran it. Jill was also Jack’s fiancé. Both she and Talia met Jack on a dating app. They’ve been giving him money because the navy pays horribly and he’s taken them for a quarter of a million dollars combined. Jack wasn’t even his real name.

There was a real Jack Spence with Naval Intelligence. He’s been deployed for a year. They showed him a photo of the fake Jack and he identified him as Tom Bingham. He said Bingham works in private security. Bingham has been trying to recruit him for months. It turns out Bingham was also a fake identity.

He just used that to approach the real Jack and get information on him. This pretender had an entire forum dedicated to him. He’s been defrauding successful women for years for all that he could get before he disappears.

One of them has tracked down the pretender to Hawaii. This was who was following him. The woman who tracked him down was Sharon Waters. She was the first of his victims and she told everyone about finding him on the forum. There were over thirteen women that hated this guy.

They were all conned by him. The police couldn’t help them because he technically didn’t break any laws in defrauding them. Romancing them to get them to pay him wasn’t a crime. He didn’t force them to do anything. He just played them.

Sharon hired a private investigator. He tracked down her George. She went to Hawaii to see him. She planned on confronting him. She wanted to out him to whoever he was conning now and it was her private investigator that “Jack” noticed was watching them. The PI was David Bell.

He was messaging Sharon while NCIS was interviewing her. Lucy read the messages. It said that Bell tracked down Jack to a rented house. When NCIS showed up at the house, it blew up. Someone blew it up with a dead body inside. The body belonged to Bell. The pretender must have killed him for getting too close and blew up the house to cover his tracks.

They would have realized the pretender was still alive anyways because he was back on the apps. He was using the dating apps and contacting several women on the island. NCIS reached out to Talia. They asked her to contact Jack on the dating app.

They explained to her that Jack wasn’t his real name and that he was conning her, but she didn’t believe them because she gave him money and told him to run when they met at the stadium. It was a perfect spot to hide in a crowd. Jack was on the run again and now it’s Talia that’s been arrested.

They detained Talia while they finally found out the pretender’s real name. His real name was Arnold Russo. He was a care home assistant and his clients started noticing that he’s been stealing from them. Well, he got assigned to George Malone. Malone disappeared one day around the same time that Russo did.

Russo waited a couple of months before he started dating Sharon as the new Goerge Malone. He’s killed before to fake his cover. He’ll kill again if given a chance. Sharon and Jill finally got through to Talia that it was all a con. And that he was seeing Jill the same time as her.

Talia finally admitted she’s been stupid. She was talking about it with Jill when Sharon stepped away. Sharon used a fake profile on the dating apps that Russo’s been using. She claimed to be a woman with a yacht and she couldn’t wait to take him sailing. It was all a ploy to get Russo to come to her.

Sharon wants to kill him. Its why she tracked him down. She’s been wanting to kill him since she realized he conned her. She also knew the best way to get him to come to her because Talia told her that her former fiancé has been making calls to the cayman islands. It’s where he hid the money.

All the money he stole from all those women. He needed to get off the island to reach the Cayman Islands. Sharon lured him onto the boat and then she pointed a gun at him. She also took the boat far away from the dock. She probably wanted to kill him over open water, but NCIS stopped her in time.

They boarded the boat and they arrested Russo. Sharon still had her payback when she dumped his go money in the water. She might face trouble for luring him out with a gun only it wasn’t murder. Russo was still alive. And that couldn’t be said for either George Malone or Bell.

And hell, their community has now gained two more members. It also inspired NCIS to get Ernie on the dating apps. He’d be so much happier if he met new people and put himself out there again.

THE END!
