According to Forbes’ annual list, Madonna is the highest paid musician this year. Forbes, which lists the highest earning celebrities broken down by gender, industry, and more have released their 2013 musicians information this week. The ageless wonder Madonna topped the list with a staggering $125 million in earnings between May 2012 and June 2013. The rankings take into consideration the following: concert ticket sales, royalties for recorded music and publishing, merchandise sales, endorsement deals and other business ventures.
Lady Gaga came in second at $80 million. The pop star was followed by Bon Jovi ($79 million), Toby Keith ($65 million), and Coldplay ($64 million). Surprised at the top five on the list?
For those of you wondering, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Kenny Chesney were in the Top 10. Those who were not seen in the top 25 included Kanye West and self-proclaimed greatest musician alive Kanye West. Did we mention that Kanye West wasn’t in the top 25?
