Now, this is a collaboration that we all should be talking about, Cheat Codes with Danny Quest and Ina Wroldsen – talk about a team-up and a half. As soon as you listen to “I Feel Ya” you won’t be able to stop listening to it on repeat. The song follows up Cheat Codes’ single “Be The One” which was with Kaskade, Danny Quest’s single “Countin Cash”, and Ina Wroldsen’s single “Body Parts“.
Cheat Codes are a three-piece group consisting of Matthew Russell, Trevor Dahl, and Kevin Ford. They’ve had a number of hits starting off with a global hit with Kriss Kross Amsterdam on the track “Sex”, but they soon changed the direction of their music and went on to collaborate with some awesome singers including Demi Lovato, Little Mix, and Kim Petras, as well as legend DJs such as David Guetta, Robin Schulz, Afrojack, and Nicky Romero. We recently had the opportunity to interview Matthew Russell about their recent releases and working with Demi Lovato and Little Mix.
As for Danny Quest, real name Daniel Larson, he is a rising star who has previously worked with Cheat Codes on their track “NSFW” which was released on their 2018 Level 1 EP. He started his music career as the drummer of Spirits Of 44 whilst performing as a DJ at private events. He was later hired to perform as part of CADE’s live shows across the US, which led him to start recording with electronic artists and producers and releasing “NSFW” as well as his debut solo single “Countin Cash”. He is apparently working on his own debut EP which will be released later on this year.
Now on to top singer-songwriter, Ina Wroldsen. She is practically royalty when it comes to songwriting and dance features. She is a Norweigan singer-songwriter who is best known for writing a bunch of hits. She’s written songs for The Saturdays, Shontelle, James Arthur, Clean Bandit, INNA, Anne-Marie – the list is endless. She’s been attempting a singing career for a number of years, but it wasn’t until she signed with Simon Cowell’s label Syco, that she’s managed to gain success with her own songs. Before signing, she hit it big with featured spots on global anthems which were “How Deep Is Your Love” by Calvin Harris & Disciples, “Places” by Martin Solveig, and “Breathe” by Jax Jones. She’s definitely a rising star and we are following her every step.
This new collaborative single has been written by Arnthor Birgisson, Bård Mathias Bonsaksen, Danny Quest, Ina Wroldsen, Kevin Pederson, Matthew Elifritz, Rachel Keen, and Trevor Dahl. It’s a very tuneful track that is filled with a groovy rhythm that contrasts, in a beautiful way, Ina Wroldsen’s electronic vocal. It’s clearly a perfect collaboration that is certainly going to become another hit for these artists. The lyrics are about the moment when you get with someone in a club, which is certainly going to resonate with many as soon as this is played in a club venue. DJs are bound to pick this up, add it to their sets, and create some brilliant remixes – we’re so ready to hear this, this summer.
